Gandras

Creator & Lead Engineer

My own product: a language-learning app set in a storybook Lithuanian village. You walk around, meet the people who live there and pick up Lithuanian from everyday conversations. Practice adjusts to how you are doing, and the stories open up as you improve.

How it started

The box was my comfort zone.

At fifteen, it looked like paper instead of a computer. I wrote my first programs by hand and worked out every output in my head. That habit grew into a career building production systems that move real money. I went back for the degree later and finished it in 2025.

Core Foundations

01

End-to-end ownership

I take features from the first commit through deploy and monitoring, and I stay with them after launch.

02

Product thinking

Before I build, I talk to users and read the support tickets, because the brief doesn’t always describe the real problem.

03

Performance from the start

I set performance budgets before launch instead of auditing afterwards, so PWAs load and respond like native apps.

04

Still self-teaching

I taught myself to code and still learn the same way. The last row of the toolkit is what I’m working through now.
